How it all started
It all began with a photograph in The Guardian newspaper of a girl called Ann sat next to a padlocked water pump in Kenya. Having returned from 2 years motorbiking around the world, Duncan Goose, founder of One Drinks, decided to put the skills he learned in his marketing and advertising career to better use - launching the ethical drinks brand One. The idea was simple, to sell drinks in the UK and give away the profit to fund the provision of sustainable clean water in the world’s poorest communities.
The Global Water Crisis
There are still 884 million people in the world without access to clean, safe drinking water. Over 2 million people die every year from waterborne diseases and most are children under 5 years old. This needs to change.
Working with World Duty Free to raise £20 million by 2020
By selling One Water, Juiced Water and Gin across their stores, World Duty Free and their customers have raised over £1.7 million over the last ten years, giving clean water to over 378,000 people in need across five countries in sub-Saharan Africa. You can help by picking up a One drink before your next flight - because when you drink One, the world drinks too. Together we’ll help raise £20 million for water projects by 2020.
