Sweet and fruity rhubarb flavour followed by a warm and spicy ginger finish
Edinburgh Gin’s Rhubarb & Ginger liqueur blends together the fresh flavourof Scottish rhubarb, a classic tangy taste which we balance by adding a hint ofwarming ginger.
Resilient to the unpredictable Scottish weather, rhubarb has become a mainstayof kitchen gardens across Scotland. Easy to grow and full of flavour, it’s theperfect ingredient for a sweet gin liqueur, which we spike with ginger for alingering warm finish.
We harvest bundles of Scottish, spring-crop rhubarb and infuse it into newlydistilled Original Edinburgh Gin along with Oriental ginger. The rhubarb andspice are left to macerate for a month to extract every bit of flavour.
This is a luscious, fruity liqueur with a perfect balance between sweetness and a sharper tang. Warming spice and a touch of citrus drifts in from the Oriental ginger. On the nose, a bright, sweet rhubarb-filled aroma.
